Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Produce Safety Program to offer free remote PSA Grower Training courses this spring

Oregon – The Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Produce Safety Program will host several remote Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training courses this spring.

These free classes, which include materials and a certificate of completion, are designed to provide useful information and resources for individuals involved in growing, harvesting, or handling fresh produce, as well as those interested in learning more about the FSMA Produce Safety Rule.

The PSA Grower Training Courses are currently the only way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement in § 112.22(c), which mandates that at least one supervisor or responsible party for a farm must have successfully completed food safety training equivalent to that recognized by the Food and Drug Administration.
