Eugene, OR – Eugene residents interested in becoming more involved in their community and local government are invited to apply for volunteer positions on the City of Eugene’s boards, commissions, or committees. These volunteer roles offer an opportunity to advise the City Council and staff on various subjects, providing recommendations on critical policy matters that shape the city’s future.

The work of these groups often includes detailed studies, reports, and advice that influence decisions made by the City Council. Their contributions frequently inspire innovative services and improvements within Eugene.

Councilor Emily Semple of Ward 1 highlighted the importance of these volunteers, stating, “These dedicated volunteers provide a valuable liaison between Council and the community.
