Expectant mother dies after her boyfriend’s sibling waited for the woman to return from hospital only to kill her after she reported his family member to the authorities and got him arrested
Boston, MA – Police officials arrested a 26-year-old man, later identified as Zacchary, and charged him with murder, assault, and other offenses after he killed his sibling’s 25-year-old girlfriend, Brienna. The pregnant woman was murdered just one day after she called the authorities on the suspect’s sibling, leading to the sibling’s arrest on domestic violence charges.
On Tuesday, the victim was rushed to the hospital with injuries following an argument with her boyfriend. The man was then arrested and taken into custody. The woman returned home to the apartment she shared with her boyfriend and his sibling. Authorities say the suspect left the apartment after he stabbed the pregnant woman to death.
The investigation process began on Wednesday after the victim’s mother called to check on her daughter because she was not responding. The responding officers found the victim unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports indicate that the victim had stab wounds to the abdomen and neck. During an interview with investigators, the suspect reportedly said that he was at a nearby fast food restaurant, but authorities say that a surveillance video showed that he was at the apartment.
The man then claimed that he was at the apartment but hadn’t seen the victim. In the surveillance video, the man was seen carrying a bag, which, according to authorities, contained clothing with red stains and a knife that tested positive for blood. The suspect is being held without bond.
