Shooting at Throne Drive apartments sends one person to the hospital

Eugene, OR – On the night of June 2nd, at 10:46 p.m., Eugene Police officers rushed to the scene following reports of a shooting at the Heron Meadows Apartments located at 744 Throne Drive. Upon arrival, an officer quickly applied a tourniquet to the injured man, believed to be in his 30s.
With assistance from bystanders, emergency first aid was administered until Eugene Springfield Fire arrived.
The victim was then transported to a local hospital by ESF for further treatment.
The incident prompted a swift and comprehensive response from law enforcement agencies, including Eugene Police, Violent Crimes Unit, Metro Drone Team, and Springfield Police, alongside other EPD detectives.
Their collective efforts were aimed at securing the scene and initiating a thorough investigation to locate potential suspects.
Eugene Police extends gratitude to Springfield Police for their crucial role in the initial response, which facilitated a prompt commencement of the investigation. The case, designated as Case 24-07915, remains under active investigation by EPD as they work diligently to gather information and ensure justice is served.
