City officials announced the Memorial Day holiday schedules or closures for Monday, May 27, 2024
Eugene, OR – Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, will bring about schedule adjustments and closures across various city services in Eugene:
**Administrative Offices**:
All City of Eugene administrative offices will be closed.
**Library, Recreation and Cultural Services**:
– Eugene Public Library – All branches and outside return slots will be closed.
– Community Centers – All locations will be closed.
– Amazon Pool – Open for lap swim and on-your-own-fitness from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
– Echo Hollow Pool – Closed for maintenance from May 19 to June 2.
– Sheldon Pool – Open for lap swim and on-your-own-fitness from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
**Police, Fire, Medical and Other Emergency Services**:
Emergency services, including police, fire, and medical assistance, will operate as usual. The main police station on Country Club Road remains open every day of the year. The Downtown Public Safety Station will also be open, with the Downtown Patrol Team active in the area. However, Fire & EMS Administration offices, including Ambulance Billing, will be closed.
**Parking**:
City-managed parking garages, surface lots, and on-street meters will be free, except for the train depot surface lot. On-street parking limits in the Arena District surrounding Matt Knight Arena will be enforced as usual.
**Public Works**:
City street repair projects will be on hold for the day, although essential health and safety services like regional wastewater treatment will continue without interruption.
**Airport**:
The Eugene Airport will remain open for regular business hours, though administrative offices will be closed. For flight schedules, visit www.flyEUG.com or call 541-682-5544.
**Spay and Neuter Clinic**:
The clinic will be closed on Memorial Day.
All City offices and facilities will resume regular hours on Tuesday, May 28, unless otherwise specified. The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is Juneteenth, Wednesday, June 19.
