34-year-old suspect wanted for murder apprehended by Eugene police using license plate reader system

Eugene, OR – Eugene Police Department successfully arrested Isiah Terrell Taylor, 34, a suspect wanted by the Milwaukee Police Department for battery, burglary, and murder. Taylor was believed to have fled to the Eugene area to avoid capture.
Detectives from the Special Investigations Unit began an investigation after receiving notification of Taylor’s status on June 24. They entered the vehicle associated with Taylor into the Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) system.
With the help of the ALPR system, along with coordination from the drone team, patrol officers, and SWAT, officers located and safely apprehended Taylor near W 18th Avenue and Lincoln Street.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about Taylor’s activities in Eugene over the past two weeks to contact Detective Rick Lowe at 541-682-5573.
