Recruit class 33 takes on weekly Fire Endurance Activities Test
Eugene, OR – After climbing 110 stories yesterday, the 16 members of Eugene Springfield Fire recruit class 33 returned to the drill field for their weekly Fire Endurance Activities Test.
The FEAT is an intense 20–30 minute drill designed to test physical strength and cardiovascular endurance.
Fire officials said the exercise is a challenging but memorable part of recruit training, offering a core experience that firefighters both dread and appreciate.
The weekly test helps ensure recruits are prepared for the physical demands of the job while building teamwork and resilience.
