Eugene Springfield Fire begins February METL and live fire drills to enhance readiness
Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire began its February Mission Essential Task List and live fire drills, focusing on maintaining and improving critical firefighting skills.
These training exercises are designed to ensure crews remain prepared to respond effectively to emergencies.
METL training emphasizes fundamental firefighting techniques, including fire suppression, search and rescue, and incident management.
Live fire drills provide realistic scenarios that test firefighters’ abilities under controlled but intense conditions.
The department conducts these exercises regularly to enhance proficiency and ensure personnel can perform at the highest level when called upon.
