Fire crews respond to late-night structure fire after dumpster fire spreads to garages near Valley River
Eugene, OR – Late Sunday night, crews with Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a structure fire near Valley River in Eugene.
Firefighters were dispatched at 11:33 p.m. on March 15 to the Valley River Court Apartments in the 4300 block of Goodpasture Loop after reports of a dumpster fire. Callers reported the fire had spread from the dumpster to a nearby structure, prompting the response to be upgraded to a first-alarm fire.

Fire crews quickly worked to contain the fire and were able to limit the spread, though the adjacent structure did sustain some damage.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
