Collision between vehicle and pedestrian shut down northbound Hwy. 99 at Prairie Road early Friday morning

Eugene, OR – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred at approximately 6:43 a.m. Friday morning.

Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash was reported, blocking all northbound lanes in the affected area to manage the response and ensure safety. Motorists were advised to avoid the location to allow responders to work efficiently.

Officials have not released details about the condition of the pedestrian involved or the specific circumstances of the collision.

Northbound traffic on Hwy. 99 remains diverted while crews clear the scene and conduct their investigation.
