Man, who was living in the U.S. illegally, killed a mother of four and grandmother of eight after she tried to stop him from stealing her car, only to run her over with it
Baltimore, MD – According to the police officials, the 21-year-old man, who was in the U.S. iIIegaIIy, Josse, was arrested and later charged with carjacking after he killed 54-year-old mom-of-four and grandma-of-eight by running her over with her own vehicle while trying to steal it. The fatal incident occurred after the older woman tried to stop the man stealing her vehicle.
Right before noon on Sunday, officers responded to the location and discovered that a female victim was ran over by her own vehicle. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the woman left her vehicle running after she stopped at the local grocery store. Shortly after, the 21-year-old man got into her car. The woman then exited the store and attempted to open the vehicle’s door.
The 21-year-old man then started driving while the woman was hanging on the vehicle. She then fell to the ground and the 21-year-old man ran her over. The 21-year-old man then left the scene only to be arrested 1 hour later.
He was then taken into custody and later charged with carjacking. The 21-year-old man is being held without bond, court records say. Authorities say the suspect entered the U.S. as a ‘gotaway’ at an unknown date and location. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a detainer request for him to be handed over to immigration authorities upon his release from local custody.
