36-year-old man taken into custody on assault, weapon charges following party stabbing in Eugene
Eugene, OR – Early on June 29, Eugene Police responded to a reported stabbing at a residence on the 4600 block of Leona Court.
At approximately 2:46 a.m., officers arrived at the scene after a caller reported the incident during a party.
Eugene Springfield Fire medics provided medical assistance to the 36-year-old male victim, who was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Police safely evacuated and detained the six occupants of the home for questioning.
After clearing the residence, officers identified one of the detained individuals as the suspect.
The suspect, 36-year-old Edgar Daniel Figueroa, was taken into custody.
Figueroa was transported to Lane County Jail and faces charges including Assault in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. The investigation remains ongoing.
