Young Women’s Fire Camp inspires and empowers future firefighters at Eugene Springfield Fire
Eugene, OR – Last week, Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF) hosted its highly anticipated Young Women’s Fire Camp, an event many look forward to all year.
Sixteen motivated young women participated, guided and mentored by dedicated ESF staff who invested their time and energy into the campers’ experience.
The camp featured hands-on training, teamwork exercises, and inspiring moments designed to build skills and confidence in future firefighters.
Organizers celebrated the incredible potential and enthusiasm shown by the campers throughout the week, marking the event as a powerful step toward greater diversity and inclusion in the fire service.
