Grand Opening of Heartwood Marks New Era for Eugene’s Downtown Riverfront

Eugene, OR – The City of Eugene, along with developer Atkins Dame and its construction and marketing partners, proudly announced the grand opening of Heartwood, the first residential apartment homes in The River District, the centerpiece of the city’s new Downtown Riverfront neighborhood.
A neighborhood celebration on June 13 marked the occasion, featuring remarks from Mayor Lucy Vinis and project partners. The event brought new life to the waterfront with local food and music.
Heartwood is the first of at least six planned residential buildings in the River District. The development will include gathering spaces, public art, boutique retail, restaurants, services, and connections to local parks, trails, and the Willamette River waterfront.
