The City of Eugene’s annual State of the City event returns to the Hult Center’s Soreng Theater on Monday, January 8, 2024

Eugene, OR – According to the statement, this event will start at 5:30 p.m. and mayor Vinis will deliver her State of the City speech reflecting on the past year and what’s to come.
City officials also said that the program will include a video with remarks from City Councilors, a video highlighting the year’s accomplishments, and Mayor Vinis will announce the small and large business winners of the 2024 Bold Steps Award.
Mayor Vinis will also present three Community Service Awards recognizing local individuals and groups who positively impacted Eugene in 2023.
Entertainment will include performances by the John Mambira Trio.
A designated area for media is on the second tier of the theater; ushers will direct media to the correct area.
The event is free, open to the public and wheelchair accessible and will be interpreted for the hearing-impaired. Hot coca and apple cider will be served after the program.
