A local resident was arrested for attempted murder after they found a woman with life-threatening injuries
Eugene, OR – According to the police officials, Eugene Police Department officers responded to a call at the 1400 block of Adelman Loop. This unfortunate incident occurred on January 19, around 6:30 p.m.
When Eugene Police Department officers arrived at the scene, they found a 65-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries who was transported to the hospital.
They searched the area and found 70-year-old Roberto Cajiva-Maldonado in a nearby neighborhood. The 70-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder and lodged at the Lane County Jail.
According to the police report, the victim and the suspect knew each other and that there is no ongoing danger to the public. This case is still under investigation.
