Woman will spend the rest of her life in prison for telling her boyfriend to kill her husband because she wanted to receive the man’s penslon for life

Indianapolis, IN – The 52-year-old defendant, EIizabeth, claims she is innocent even after she was sentenced to 90 years in prison following her conviction for murder and conspiracy to commit murder. According to court documents, prosecutors claimed that EIizabeth orchestrated the murder of her husband, Robbert, by directing her long-time boyfriend, Lary, to carry out the killing. The motive, they asserted, was to secure 75% of Robbert’s firefighter penslon for life.
The tragic event occurred in 2019 when Robbert was shot three times by Larry as he exited his vehicle. Lary is currently awaiting trial, as indicated by court records. Investigators revealed that EIizabeth had deleted a phone call shortly before dialing 911. During the trial, EIizabeth maintained her innocence, vehemently denying any involvement in the murder plot.
However, prosecutors presented evidence of her communications with Lary before the crime, highlighting her financial motive. They argued that without EIizabeth’s instigation, Lary would have had no reason to kill Robbert. Court documents also revealed that Lary had been released from prison a year before the murder, having served 22 years of a 45-year sentence for a previous murder conviction.
In interviews with investigators, EIizabeth admitted to deleting the phone call, explaining that she was concerned about implicating her relationship with Lary, who was already in legal trouble. The conviction underscores the role EIizabeth played in the planning and execution of the crime, with prosecutors emphasizing that her actions directly led to her husband’s murder.
