Woman arrested after police say she sat in the middle of the road and attempted to roll in front of a moving vehicle in Eugene
Eugene, OR – Eugene police arrested a 39-year-old woman after she was found sitting in the roadway and allegedly attempted to roll in front of a moving vehicle early Monday morning.
Police responded around 12:40 a.m. Sept. 21 to a report of a woman in the roadway on West First Avenue near Madison Street.
An officer found Amber Martinez sitting in the road with her legs crossed and blocking traffic. Police said she attempted to roll in front of a moving vehicle while laughing.
The officer ordered Martinez to leave the roadway, but she refused and pulled away when the officer attempted to detain her.
Martinez eventually left the roadway and was taken into custody. She was lodged at the Lane County Jail on a charge of disorderly conduct.
