The Eugene City Council has approved $1 million in Affordable Housing Trust Funds to support the development of three key housing projects aimed at low-income households

Eugene, OR – These initiatives highlight Eugene’s commitment to expanding affordable housing options amid rising demand and construction costs. City officials released the following statement:
1. **Rosa Village by SquareOne Villages**
– **Awarded:** $528,272
– **Details:** Located near Opportunity Village on Roosevelt, Rosa Village will provide 52 cooperative rental homes. It includes 40 one-bedroom flats, 12 two-bedroom townhomes, and a 1,600 sq ft common house with shared amenities. Construction is set to start by March 2025.
2. **The Lucy by Cornerstone Community Housing**
– **Awarded:** $428,273
– **Details:** The Lucy, located on Hunsaker Lane, will offer 36 new rental homes across three buildings. It features one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units, alongside a community center for resident activities. Construction is expected to begin by July 2025.
3. **Williams Place by St. Vincent DePaul of Lane County**
– **Awarded:** $100,000
– **Details:** Williams Place focuses on transitional housing for veterans, offering 10 one-bedroom units with on-site case management. The project, already under construction, received additional support to address financial challenges.
