Mom ‘wanted to leave her child home so she could have some time to herself after having a bad day’, only for the girl to follow the parent and get killed by her

Nashville, TN – According to the police officials, the Tennessee mom, later identified as 33-year-old Brandy, was arrested and later charged with first-degree murder after she reportedly killed her little daughter, later identified as 7-year-old Plper. Police officials said the woman, who reportedly told investigators that she killed the child because she was ‘having a tough day’, reportedly drowned the little girl over the weekend.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the mother reportedly said that she wanted to leave her 7-year-old child home so she could have ‘some time for herself’ because she had a bad day. Per reports, the 7-year-old child instead followed the parent to the lake.
Shortly after, the mother grabbed the little girl and pushed her underwater and held her. While she was holding her underwater, the mother reportedly told the child to be quiet. When the mother realized that her child wasn’t moving, she removed her from the water and took her to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
Neighbors reportedly told investigators that the mother and the daughter reportedly lived nearby and often walked together near the lake. Per reports, the 33-year-old mom had previously been diagnosed with postpartum depression. The victim’s dad was living with a disability, police officials said.
