ARKANSAS – According to the court documents, the 30-year-old defendant, later identified as AshIey, was sentenced to four decades behind bars for her role in connection with the child’s death. Prosecutors claim the mother reportedly didn’t do anything to stop her partner from killing her child in the toiIet because he blt the man’s finger. The parent then watched the man bury her child under the house’s floor. The woman was sentenced after pleading guilty to permitting abuse of a minor.
The mother’s then-partner, 34-year-old Natthan, already pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and was sentenced to six decades behind bars, court records say. The investigation process began in December 2022 after the mother’s parents called the authorities and requested help in picking their grandchiIdren. The responding deputies reportedly discovered that the mother brought her daughter, but her 5-year-old son was nowhere to be found.
The responding deputies then realized that the boy’s mom told her father that her son was dead inside the house. The responding deputies then removed the boards from the floor, removed layers of the earth and found the child’s body, wrapped in plastic bags. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the child died several months before.
According to the police officials, the child reportedly made his mom’s boyfrlend angry after he bit his finger when the man stick it in the child’s mouth. The man then took the child to the bathroom and drowned him in the toiIet, as a form of punishment. The 34-year-old man then cut a hole in the house floor and placed the body in a hole he dug. The mother told prosecutors that she was in another room when her partner drowned her child. The mother also told prosecutors that the man also held her daughter’s head under hot water because the child had behavior issues.
