Houston, TEXAS – Texas man was sentenced to life in prison for the brutal killing of his former partner, Marissol, in 2021. Prosecutors revealed that Andras, who has multiple prior felony convictions, committed the murder because he believed she had stolen items belonging to his deceased father. According to court testimony, the man admitted to the killing and the disposal of her remains, stating, “My dad was my world, and I would do it again.”

The crime took place in April 2021. He reportedly shot the victim multiple times before dismembering her body and attempting to destroy the remains by burning them with engine oil on his property. Prosecutors explained that this was an effort to eliminate evidence. During the trial, jurors were presented with photographs of two barrels found on the property, which contained small fragments of bones identified as the victim’s remains.

A friend of the victim testified about the night of the murder. He stated that they were drinking and talking in a vehicle when the defendant approached with a gun. The witness managed to escape, but the victim remained in the car. Moments later, the man fired several shots, killing her. Fearful for his own safety, the witness fled the scene. He later testified that the defendant had threatened him and another individual to ensure their silence, the local DA’s office said.

Evidence presented during the trial included the defendant’s confession to law enforcement, where he admitted to shooting the victim four times in the face. He also described how he disposed of her remains by burning them with engine oil. The motive, as described by the defendant, stemmed from his anger over the alleged theft of his late father’s belongings.

Throughout the trial, the defendant expressed no remorse for his actions. The Assistant District Attorney recounted the chilling words he had shared during his interrogation: “When I see her in hell, I’m going to fry her again. I’d do it in a thousand years. I would do it again and again.”

The man, a documented gang member, received a life sentence for the murder, reflecting the gravity of the crime and his lack of repentance. The case underscored the devastating consequences of violence and the profound impact on the victim’s loved ones.
