Man became enraged that his partner cut her halr after previously threatening her not to, days after she sought to end their relationship, only to find her at her sibling’s home and kill her after seriously injuring her family member

Philadelphia, PA – According to the police officials, the 49-year-old man, later identified as Benjjamin, was arrested and later charged with multiple charges, including homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment in connection with his partner’s death. Police officials said the man reportedly stabbed his 50-year-old partner to death and seriously injured her brother days after the woman tried to end their reIationship.
The fatal incident occurred over the weekend at the victim’s sibling’s home. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the man stabbed the woman to death after he became enraged about the woman’s new haircut, after previously threatening her not to. The woman’s daughter, who wished to remain anonymous, reportedly told investigators that her mom stayed with her overnight to avoid the man’s anger after she sought to put an end to their relationship.
After leaving her daughter’s home, the woman went to her brother’s home and asked her close friend to tell her boyfriend that their reIationship is over. The 49-year-old man then went to the victim’s brother’s home to look for her. The victim’s sibling, who was not identified, reportedly told the man that his sister was not there. The defendant left only to come back minutes later and began stabbing the man.
Shortly after, the victim intervened as tried to help her brother only to get stabbed to death. The victim’s sibling suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Doctors told investigators he is expected to survive. The 50-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 49-year-old man was still at the crime scene when officers arrived. He was taken into custody and is being held without bond.
