Husband, who claims ‘something just came over him’, walked around his family home before deciding to kill his partner, then intentionally shot his baby, killing him, because the child cried too much and it made him anxious; sentenced

Denver, CO – According to the court documents, the 31-year-old defendant, later identified as Davld, was sentenced to life in prison after he was convicted of first-degree murder (two counts). Prosecutors claim the defendant grabbed his gun from his vehicle only to shoot his 26-year-old wife, Lizzet, and then shoot his baby, 8-month-old George. The defendant’s 2-year-old child was inside the home when the killings occurred, but was not harmed, court records say.
The investigation process began in February after the 31-year-old husband called 911 and reported medical emergency. The responding officers made contact with the defendant, who reportedly told them that he shot his baby and his partner and believed both are dead. The responding officers found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
During an interview with investigators, the 31-year-old man reportedly said that ‘he wasn’t feeling good lately and something came over him. The man also said that ‘something just came over him and doesn’t know what happened’. The defendant also told investigators that his baby’s crying had been making him anxious and he had been having bad thoughts.
Right before he shot his partner and their child, the man went outside to grab his gun from his vehicle. He then walked around the family home before he went inside the home and shot his partner. After shooting the 26-year-old woman, the man shot his baby. The man reportedly admitted to shooting the baby because the infant cried too much and it made him anxious. The victim’s family launched a fundraiser to collect money for raising the victim’s 2-year-old daughter.
