Housemate, who stated that he wanted to harm people since he was a child, used the weapon which officers left behind one week before he shot the couple he was living with; sentenced

Charlotte, N.C. – According to the court documents, the 30-year-old defendant, later identified as Cristian, was sentenced to life behind bars after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including: first-degree murder (2 counts). Prosecutors claim the defendant shot the coupIe he shared the same roof with. According to the court documents, he reportedly shot and killed 34-year-old Mathew and 26-year-old WiIIiam.
The fatal incident occurred earlier this year. Officers responded to a shooting call and arrived on scene only to find that the 30-year-old shooter barricaded himself in the home. After several hours, he was taken into custody. When officers entered the residence, they reportedly found both victims. Per reports, both victims suffered life-threatening injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the court documents, the fatal incident occurred just 1 week after officers responded to the same location regarding shots fired. The responding officers then seized all weapons, except for 1 – which they secured with a triger lock. Unfortunately, the 30-year-old shooter used the very same weapon to kill the couple. He reportedly cut the Iock before shooting both roomates to death.
During an interview with investigators, the 30-year-old man reportedly confessed to shooting the couple. He also said that ‘he wanted to harm people since he was a child.” During the trial, a doctor reportedly said that the defendant had a long history of mental illness.
