Eugene Springfield Fire technical rescue team conducts joint drill with Metro Wastewater
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Springfield Fire technical rescue team recently held a joint training drill with Metro Wastewater to strengthen emergency response skills and improve coordination between departments.
The department said the exercise provided an opportunity for team members to practice working together in situations that require specialized rescue operations and communication between agencies.
Eugene Springfield Fire said these types of training opportunities help improve the abilities of its members while strengthening inter-departmental coordination.
Joint drills allow emergency responders and partner agencies to better understand each other’s roles, equipment, and procedures before a real emergency occurs.
The department regularly conducts training exercises to maintain readiness and ensure crews are prepared to respond effectively when communities need them.
Officials said continued collaboration with partner organizations helps improve safety and teamwork during complex incidents.
