Eugene Police seek public’s help after shooting near Skinner Butte leaves two injured
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Police Department is asking the public for help as investigators continue looking into a shooting near Skinner Butte that left two people injured.
Eugene Police Investigations is seeking any video footage captured during the incident or any related videos that may be circulating. Anyone with video or information about possible footage is asked to contact Detective Pederson by email at [email protected].
Police said the shooting happened around 12:50 a.m. on June 20 after officers received a report of a gunshot wound in the Cheshire Avenue and Skinner Butte Loop area.
When officers arrived, they located two individuals who had suffered gunshot wounds at the base of the hill near Skinner Butte Loop and Cheshire Avenue.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment and were reported to be in stable condition.
The Eugene Police Investigations Unit and Forensic Evidence Unit responded to the scene as the investigation continued.
Police said investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are collecting evidence from the area.
At this time, Eugene Police said they do not believe there is a threat to the public related to the incident.
Officials are asking anyone who may have captured video from the area around the time of the shooting or has information that could assist investigators to come forward.
