Eugene police arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with ongoing investigations into rioting and looting that broke out after a protest march
Eugene, OR – According to the police officials, the 17-year-old was charged with two counts of rioting, two counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of first-degree theft.
After the march ended at West Seventh Avenue and Washington Street, some participants set fire to city and private property before smashing businesses’ windows and looting property inside.
The police officials have reported that 25 people have been charged with crimes such as rioting and theft since.
A 40-year-old man arrested for criminal trespassing hasn’t yet been arraigned.
