EPD: Bear sighted in Eugene area off West Bank Bike Path, near River Road
Eugene, OR – On Monday, a bear made an unexpected appearance near the West Bank Bike path in the River Road area.
The bear, believed to be young, was first sighted around 11:13 a.m. in a resident’s backyard near Skip Court/Carolyn Drive.
Its whereabouts were last traced near the Owasso Bike Bridge. Oregon State Police have been informed of the situation.
Residents in the vicinity are advised to remain vigilant and ensure the safety of their children and pets.
Eugene boasts numerous natural areas and parks that serve as habitats for diverse wildlife, adding to the city’s allure.
