Dad says that after his child was found dead, he heard from other students that his son’s classmates had buIIied him for having no mother and being homeIess, until the boy took his own life

Los Angeles, CA – According to the boy’s dad, Josse, his child took his own life after he was buIIied at school for being homeIess. The father also told local news outlets that he and his child were living at a shelter after being evicted earlier this year. The father claims his son was relentlessly bullied for being homeless until he took his own life. The 14-year-old boy killed himself just several months after starting at the high school.
According to the father, his child died last week and his death was the result of an ongoing bullying by his cIassmates. The boy and his parent were living in a shelter since they were evicted from their apartment earlier year. According to the grieving parent, the boy’s cIassmates ‘were spitting on him and hitting him on the back of the helmet’. Shortly after his child’s death, the parent heard from other students that his son’s cIassmates buIIied the boy for being homeIess and having no mother, KTVU reported.
The victim’s family launched an online fundraiser to raise money for funeral costs. While they were living at the shelter, the boy even received mental health treatment. The parent told local news outlets that he hopes the school district will hold those suspected of bullying his son accountable.
Per repots, School Superintendent Waddell released the following statement: “Administrators have already taken initial actions in response. We in no way condone bullying, harassment, or retribution of any kind and take any such allegations seriously. We strive to provide as many facts as possible to the community while preserving our duty to protect the privacy and confidentiality of both students and families.”
