Community members are invited to view the final design for Golden Gardens Park and share their feedback during a public meeting on Wednesday, November 13

Eugene, OR – According to the city officials, an additional opportunity for input will be available during an online session on November 21, from 12 to 1 PM.
Residents can also participate in an online survey accessible at engage.eugene-or.gov/goldengardens.
The final design for the 223-acre park and sports complex features 14 sports fields, a 124-acre natural area that enhances protections for turtles and native species, a comprehensive trail system, and a 12-acre neighborhood park.
These designs reflect feedback gathered from the first two public meetings, surveys, and interviews with park users, as well as input from sports, environmental, and neighborhood organizations through a multistakeholder advisory group.
Phase 1 construction is anticipated to begin in 2026 and will include essential infrastructure and one or two sports fields, funded by the 2018 Parks and Recreation Bond and Levy. Future development of the park will proceed as additional funding becomes available for construction and maintenance, likely within five to 15 years.
