City of Eugene turning Oak Street into a two-way
There’s a new way to get around in downtown Eugene.
The City of Eugene is turning a one-way into a two-way for more direct access to 7th Avenue.
The two-way conversion of Oak Street is almost finished.
The new traffic signal was turned on Tuesday, allowing traffic to go north and south on Oak between 6th and 7th.
Crews re-striped the road, added a traffic signal and updated the signs.
Crews will monitor the signals over the coming weeks and make adjustments that might be needed.
