Boy dies after he was pushed into the water by two White boys and held down until he died, his mom says the 2 years of juveniIe detention both defendants received ‘isn’t justice’

Atlanta, GA – According to the court documents, the 11-year-old boy, who was not identified due to his age, was sentenced to 2 years in juveniIe detention facility after he pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including: simple battery, conceaIing the death of another, invoIuntary mansIaughter, and criminaI trespass. Prosecutors say the 11-year-old boy, who is White, reportedly pushed 11-year-old N0ah into the water and held him down until he died. Another, 10-year-old boy, was also sentenced to 2 years in juveniIe detention.
The investigation process began in May after the boy’s mom reported her son missing. The following day, someone called 911 and told the dispatcher that they heard someone calling for help. Deputies responded to the location and shortly after, they found N0ah’s shoes. Then they opened a gate to access the pits, where they reportedly saw footprints.
Shortly after, they found the boy’s body. The medical examiner told investigators that the boy’s cause of death was drowning. According to the court documents, the Sheriff’s Office initially told the parents that their son drowned, but the parents didn’t believed that because their child had a fear of deep water and would never go by himself. ”This isn’t justice. My baby was 8-years-old with a full life ahead of him. And two years is what the State of Georgia calls justice for an entire life that’s lost,” the victim’s mom reportedly said.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the boy ‘was pushed into the water and held down until he died’. A parent of one of the defendant’s, NataIie, was also charged because she reportedly gave false statements to investigators. The boy’s mom told prosecutors that her son believed the two boys, who are White, were his friends and trustworthy, instead they led him to his death.
