Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire recently hosted live fire training exercises at its regional training facility, bringing together multiple fire agencies from across Oregon.

According to Eugene Springfield Fire, crews from Redmond Fire & Rescue and Cloverdale Fire District participated in the training at the department’s facility located on 20 acres of former industrial land at 2nd Street and Chambers Street in Eugene.

Officials said the training site was developed nearly 30 years ago following a voter-approved bond that transformed the property into a regional fire training center. Today, it continues to serve as a major training hub for firefighters throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Eugene Springfield Fire noted that the facility remains one of the premier training sites in the region and supports a wide range of hands-on fire training scenarios. In addition to the live fire exercises, the department reported more than 90,000 hours of training conducted over the past year.

The department also highlighted its collaboration with multiple agencies, stating that it regularly welcomes firefighters from Bend, Medford, Redmond, Cloverdale, and North Bend. Officials said the joint training strengthens coordination, improves operational readiness, and enhances overall emergency response capabilities across participating departments.

Fire officials emphasized the importance of continued regional cooperation, noting that shared training opportunities help ensure firefighters are prepared to respond effectively to emergencies in their respective communities.

Eugene Springfield Fire thanked all participating agencies for their involvement and commitment to maintaining high training standards and public safety readiness.
