Firefighters stop electrical fire from spreading at Taco Bell on Chad Drive, no injuries reported
Eugene, OR – Firefighters quickly contained an early morning electrical fire at a Taco Bell restaurant on Chad Drive in Eugene, preventing the blaze from spreading throughout the building.
According to Eugene Springfield Fire, Ladder 6 from the Sheldon Station was dispatched just after 4:30 a.m. to reports of an electrical fire at the restaurant.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed light smoke coming from the building. The crew declared a working fire and upgraded the response to a full first alarm to ensure adequate resources were available at the scene.
Firefighters quickly located the source of the fire, opened a wall to access the affected area, and applied water to extinguish the flames. Their rapid actions prevented the fire from extending to other parts of the building.
Officials said the fire was brought under control and all employees were accounted for. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the electrical fire has not been released. Fire officials credited the quick response and suppression efforts for limiting damage and preventing a larger incident.
