In her statement, Governor Kotek said Oregonians are experiencing financial strain due to high fuel prices and rising inflation. She attributed broader economic challenges in part to federal policy conditions, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining fiscal stability at the state level.

“Oregonians are feeling the financial pressure from high fuel prices and escalating inflation driven by the Trump administration’s conflict with Iran, so I’m thankful that Oregon is maintaining a balanced budget to protect core services,” Kotek said.

The Governor also emphasized her administration’s focus on supporting families facing increased costs of living and strengthening the state’s long-term economic foundation.
