Man who kiIIed his girIfriend carrying their unborn baby several days after the victim told her sister that he threw her on the floor, strangIed her, and if anything happened to her, it was because of him, was charged
Massachusetts – A Massachusetts man has been arrested and charged with the murder of his girIfriend, K. Montero. The young woman, who was eleven weeks pregnant, was reported missing earlier this month. Her remains were discovered earlier this week on the defendant’s family property in Massachusetts.
According to prosecutors, the 22-year-old man, Gregori, initially reported the woman missing on August 8, claiming that she had left his home following an argument. However, investigators later uncovered evidence suggesting otherwise. He allegedly confessed to fataIIy stabing the woman, who was carrying their unborn chiId, with a kitchen knife and burying her body on the property. He reportedly provided Massachusetts authorities with a hand-drawn map indicating the location of the shaIIow grave. The remains were found approximately five feet underground, covered with brush and trees.
Prior to her disappearance, the victim had expressed concerns about her safety. She sent a text message to her sister on August 6, stating, “He threw me on the ground, puIIed my hair, and strangIed me. My phone is at 4% and if I die, it was Grreg.” This message was read aloud during the defendant’s arraignment.
The 22-year-old man has been charged with murder, assault and battery on a pregnant victim, assault and battery on a family or household member, and aggravated witness intimidation. At his arraignment, he pleaded not guilty to all charges and was ordered held without bail. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for September 10, 2025.
The investigation into the victim’s death has highlighted the dangers of domestic violence and the importance of heeding warning signs. Massachusetts authorities continue to urge individuals in abusive relationships to seek help and support.
Police reported that the defendant was the last person to see the victim alive and later reported her missing on August 8.
At the time of her disappearance, the victim was 11 weeks pregnant and had recently graduated from a high school. The victim sister said the victim and the defendant had argued the day before she vanished.
“There was an altercation the night before she went missing, but that was the only incident,” she reportedly said. “We went out looking for her again the other day.” A local news outlet stated that the victim was in an on-again, off-again relationship with the defendant, who was the father of her unborn child.
Investigators revealed that the victim sent a message to her family member describing the incident, stating that the defendant had thrown her to the ground, pulled her hair, and strangled her, and added that her phone was almost without battery and, if anything happened to her, it was because of the man.
The case has highlighted issues of domestic violence and the importance of early intervention. Authorities urge individuals experiencing domestic violence to seek help and support from available resources.
