Eugene Springfield Fire quickly contains house fire on Shady Loop in Springfield
Eugene, OR – Early Sunday morning, Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a house fire on Shady Loop in Springfield.
The initial call came just before 3 a.m. on June 1st, reporting a fence fire.
Engine 5 from the Gateway station arrived to find a backyard fire spreading to the exterior of the house and the attic, prompting a full structure response.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames and performed extensive overhaul.
After a thorough interior search, crews confirmed an all-clear, dispelling concerns raised by a neighbor who reported an elderly male inside.
The team also prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby house exposed to significant heat.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
