Eugene Springfield Fire responds to commercial fire in Springfield’s Glenwood neighborhood
Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a commercial fire in Springfield’s Glenwood neighborhood on Sunday morning, January 19th.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 3600 block of Franklin Blvd at 6:41 AM after receiving reports of a fire under a door at the back of the building.
Engine 13 from Eugene’s University Station arrived about five minutes after dispatch and found a working fire in a large shop area.
Crews worked quickly to control the fire through a large roll-up door, while others searched the building for any occupants and signs of fire extension.
A trailer located inside was also checked for occupants.
Thanks to the swift response, structural damage was minimal, and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
