Bicyclist injured in collision at Roosevelt Boulevard and Highway 99

Eugene, OR – Eugene Police responded to a collision involving a bicyclist and a Lexus IS at Roosevelt Boulevard and Highway 99N at 5:27 p.m. on January 6.
Officers found the 45-year-old male bicyclist in the middle of southbound Highway 99, south of Roosevelt.
Eugene Springfield Fire arrived shortly after and treated the bicyclist for non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation revealed the bicyclist, wearing dark clothing and without lights, entered the intersection against the pedestrian control signal and without caution.
The driver of the vehicle, a 41-year-old Eugene man, had a green light at the time of the incident.
After the crash, the driver pulled over and called 911.
