Man complained of being the victim of supernatural practices after hitting elderly man repeatedly in the head, and when the victim was no longer moving in the water, he struck him several more times in the head, killing him

Jacksonville, FLORIDA – The 36-year-old Florida man, J. Baucher, was taken into custody and later charged with first-degree murder and other charges in connection with the Monday’s fatal incident which left 65-year-old man dead. The victim was reportedly playing goIf when the defendant randomIy attacked him. The defendant reportedly used the victim’s goIf clubs to beat the man before he grabbed him to the pond and drowned him. When the victim stopped moving, the defendant was seen grabbing a goIf club and hitting the victim in the head. According to the police officials, the defendant has a criminal history that dates back to at least 2006, when he was arrested for possession of drugs with intent to distribute near a park or school in Massachusetts.
According to the police officials, the fatal incident occurred on Monday. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the defendant randomIy attacked the victim while he was playing goIf. The defendant reportedly attacked the victim with his own goIf cIubs before he drowned him. The responding officers made contact with the defendant who then tried to run away. The responding officers were then forced to use electronic control weapon to take the defendant into custody.
Witnesses told investigators that the victim reportedly yelled that the defendant ‘was trying to kill him’. The unidentified witness also told investigators that the defendant grabbed the victim and got him into the water, where he started to choke him. When the victim stopped moving, the defendant went outside to grab a goIf cIub and then used it to hit the victim repeatedly in the head.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the defendant’s family called 911 and asked for help to remove their family member from their home. The 911 call also stated that the defendant was behaving erratically and was very aggressive. It remains unclear whether the defendant was under the influence of any substances when he killed the victim. Authorities in Florida also discovered that the defendant’s family reported him missing just one hour before he killed the 65-year-old man. During a court appearance, where a judge denied the suspect bond, he reportedly claimed he was the victim of wltchcraft.
