Eugene
The Eugene Public Library invites the entire community to join in for Summer Reading through the end of August
Eugene, OR – According to the city officials, this event offers free fun and learning opportunities for all ages, from babies to adults, at the library’s three locations: Downtown, Bethel, and Sheldon.
Participants can visit any library location to pick up a bilingual, all-ages Book Bingo card and enjoy new reading adventures throughout the summer, completing the card square by square. Children and teens who participate will get to choose a free brand-new book to keep.
The library will also host a variety of free events across the city, including storytimes, creative activities, book groups, performances, author talks, a Youth Comic-Con, and the annual Teddy Bear Picnic.
Summer Reading programs are designed to help students maintain their skills while school is out and to encourage everyone to read for enjoyment and broaden their horizons.
Library cards are not required to participate in Summer Reading. However, to access full library services, including borrowing books, you can sign up for a library card.
Eugene Public Library cards are free for all residents within the City of Eugene limits, all Eugene School District 4J and Bethel School District students regardless of address, and all children under five years old who live within those school districts.
