The coldest temperatures of the year are set to arrive in Oregon
Eugene, OR – According to the statement, forecasters have issued a Winter Storm Watch for Western Oregon, from the Coast Range to the Cascades – and the Willamette Valley in between.
The Watch is in effect from Thursday evening through Friday morning.
Total snow accumulations of up to two inches possible. Ice accumulations of one tenth to two tenths of an inch possible.
Rain will change to freezing rain later Thursday evening as temperatures drop below freezing. Some snow is possible, but not until later Thursday night.
Winds are forecast to gust to 45 mph in the mountains.
