Structure fire damages home on Dillard Road in south Eugene, prompting emergency response

Eugene, OR – Eugene Springfield Fire reported a busy afternoon as crews were stretched thin responding to several simultaneous emergencies.

Among the incidents was a house fire in the 4000 block of Dillard Road in South Eugene, a brush fire near the intersection of River Road and Beacon Drive, and a water rescue call.

In addition to these major incidents, firefighters handled multiple other calls for service throughout the area, demonstrating the demanding nature of their workload.

No further details on the extent of damage or injuries were provided.

The department continues to prioritize emergency response across Eugene and Springfield
