Snow and ice are in the forecast for the Portland area and parts of the Willamette Valley
Eugene, OR – According to the report, there’s even a chance of freezing rain on the north Oregon Coast – and a blizzard warning for the Columbia River Gorge.
This will likely prove to be a winter storm that puts Portland in chains and leaves Eugene with just rain.
No snow or ice is expected along the coast south of Lincoln City, and little if any ice to south of Albany.
For this first round of winter weather, snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches are likely for Portland and Kelso, with 5 to 10 inches in the Hood River Valley.
