Police investigate shooting at Walmart in Eugene
Eugene, OR — Eugene Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Sept. 5 in the W. 11th Walmart parking lot, resulting in the death of a 21-year-old man. Authorities identified the deceased as Jaime Javier Lagarda-Govea on Monday, Sept. 8.
Officials said the individual who discharged the firearm remained on scene and has been cooperative with investigators.
Eugene Police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and requested any tips be directed to Detective Cliff Sites at 541-682-5147.
The Eugene Police Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation and is asking the public for information regarding any parties involved.
