ODOT: U.S. 30: Columbia Avenue to 8th Street construction is almost complete
Eugene, OR – According to the state officials, workers have been working on making U.S. 30 from Columbia Avenue to 8th Street safer and more accessible for all users over the past few months.
Now that construction is almost complete, as you go through the area you’ll notice:
- New permanent striping.
- One lane of traffic in each direction.
- A new center turn lane with pedestrian islands.
- New bike lanes.
ODOT officials said that workers installed two new pedestrian islands at:
- 2nd Street intersection.
- 6th Street intersection.
