Fire crews extinguished small fire on the Fern Ridge bike path in West Eugene

Eugene, OR – According to the statement, ESF firefighters were called to the fire, located between Bertelsen and Commerce Street, at 8:44 PM.
The fire crews quickly managed to contain the blaze, which remained small.
The incident highlighted the importance of mowing vegetation to limit the intensity and growth capability of potential fires.
The swift response and effective action of the firefighters ensured the safety of the area and prevented further spread.
This incident remains under investigation.
