Eugene Springfield Fire responds to house fire on S 5th Street in Springfield
Eugene, OR – The Eugene Springfield Fire Department (ESF) is currently on scene of an active house fire in the 500 block of South 5th Street.
Initial reports indicated that the occupants had safely evacuated before firefighters arrived.
Engine 5 from the Harlow Station discovered the fire upon arrival and entered through a window to begin fire suppression and conduct a primary search.
A full alarm assignment was dispatched, and crews have since brought the fire under control.
Officials are asking motorists to avoid the area while emergency personnel complete their work.
