Child dies after mother, who turned to drinking while suffering from depression, was found coIIapsed in her car with empty aIcohol bottles around her as her child died in the back

Los Angeles, CA – According to the police officials, the 41-year-old parent, later identified as Sanndra, was arrested and later charged with invoIuntary mansIaughter and child negIect in connection with her child’s death. Police officials say the woman was found unconscious in her vehicle with empty alcohol bottles around her, while the 3-year-old child, later identiefied as Illy, was found unresponsive in the back seat only to be pronounced dead later at the hospital.
The investigation process began last week after family member found the mother pased out in the vehicle, while the child was not breathing in the back seat. First responders rushed the child to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. The medical examiner told investigators that the girl’s cause of death was complications from heat stroke. During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the outside temperature that day was around 105 degrees.
The girl’s dad reportedly said that his estranged wife turned to drinking while suffering from depression, stating that he hated her even though he was certain it was a tragic accident. The responding officers reportedly found alcohol bottles in the mother’s vehicle, which were empty. It remains unclear how long the mother and her child were inside the vehicle. The victim’s family launched an online fundraiser, to collect money for Illy’s biological dad, Juan, to move from Texas to California so he can care for his son and find a new job.
The fundraiser reportedly stated: “It’s still hard to wrap our minds around the thought Illy is no longer with us. She has been tragically taken from our family in such an unfathomable way, and all we want to do is ease the burden and pain her father Juan and the family are going through at this time. Juan will need to move from Texas to California to take care of his remaining son. Also, his search for a new job will require a significant amount of time and he will need to pay for any remaining medical expenses incurred by this tragedy. If you could find it in your heart to assist us toward our angel Illy’s funeral and memorial, we will be eternally grateful.”
